Nigel Monk

Managing Director - National Certificate Advanced Landscape Level 4

Nigel will be the first person to meet with you when starting your NV Pools journey. Drawing on his years of experience in creating and constructing exceptional outdoor spaces, he will discuss with you your specific needs while completing a site assessment.

Nigel’s expertise and eye for design means he will work carefully with the space you have, ensuring your pool fits in with your lifestyle and environment.

Once you have confirmed your pool quote, Nigel will check in with your project frequently ensuring you are receiving the gold standard of customer care that he established all those years ago.

Angela McGrath

Director, Communications Manager

Angela has worked in the contracting environment for most of her career and has gained invaluable experience in Human Resources, Health and Safety, Quality Management, and Project Management.

Angela manages NV Pools' HR and HS functions and drives continuous improvement ensuring we are operating as efficiently and safely as possible. It is also important to Angela that NV Pools retains their excellent team culture that upholds NVL’s brand and values.

In addition to these roles, Angela oversees NV Pools’ communications, brand management and marketing including client promotional material and online content. 

Shannon Helliwell

Pools and Projects Manager - National Certificate Advanced Landscape Level 4

Shannon has over 20 years’ experience in landscaping including many years managing pool projects. Together with Nigel, Shannon will review your site with both his landscaping and pool hats on to ensure your selection is what will provide you with your ultimate pool dream.

Your quote will be signed off by Shannon with full specifications broken down into a detailed and all-inclusive view of the entire investment for your pool, from dig out through to completion.

He will then take a hands-on approach project managing your pool install with your dedicated pool team.

Shannon is driven by providing clients with excellent service and a quality product, including being there for any follow up questions you may have.

Claire McNutt

Co-owner and Business Manager - Bachelor of Commerce (Management)

Claire will be your first point of contact when it comes to bringing your NV Pools pool dream to life. She has a wealth of knowledge of the technical process and the key roles each team member will play in the installation of your pool.

As a liaison between yourself and your NV Pools team, Claire will keep you fully updated with clear communication on the timeline of your pool project as it progresses.

Claire also assists with organising council requirements and is readily available to answer any queries you may have along the way.

Luke Thelin

Director and Commercial Manager - National Certificate Advanced Landscape Level 4

Luke will work closely with Shannon and Nigel providing scheduling and resourcing assistance if you are completing landscaping with NVL along with your pool install.

Luke’s experience in landscaping and excellent organisation skills will ensure you have a seamless and structured handover between landscaping and pool installation. He will also complete the final quality finish before handing over your beautiful new outdoor living area.

In addition to Luke’s extensive plant and hard landscaping knowledge, he also completes pool installs during the extra busy times.

Jess Mills

BLA (Hons) – Bachelor Landscape Architecture

Jess joined NVL as a Landscape Architect in 2022. She relocated from Christchurch to make the most of the Nelson climate and the endless opportunities the region has to offer. Jess has experience both in the office, generating designs as well as in the field. Coming from Urban Paving and Landscape supplies, Jess has extensive product knowledge on hard and softscapes which she is excited to put into her designs here at NVL.

Jess completed her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at Lincoln University, where she gained a passion for sustainable, residential and permaculture design. Jess will be working closely with Nigel to generate landscape plans for our clients. She is looking forward to working within the excellent team culture at NVL.

Michelle Butler

HS and Office Manager

Michelle moved from South Africa with her family in 2018 where she spent many years running her own business. Since joining NV Pools and NVL in the newly created role of Office Manager, Michelle has impressed with her financial knowledge, eye for detail and proactive thinking ensuring NVL’ Managers are always supported - no matter what!

Being previously self-employed, Michelle understands the importance of excellent client service and efficient business systems and has added great value to NVL with her focus on continuous improvement.

Michelle also works closely with Angela coordinating HR and HS.

JULE KLEY

Sales and Marketing Coordinator

Jule has joined the NVL team in 2020 as a Digital Media Coordinator. In Germany, Jule studied Digital Media Marketing and moved to New Zealand after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in 2016.

At NVL and NV Pools she works closely together with Angela in the marketing department, telling the companies stories on social media, maintaining websites and creating our print advertisement. As our inhouse photographer you might even come across her when she is out on our sites.

Jule has gained some administration work over the years working in New Zealand. Since 2022 she has taken on the role as an Sales Coordinator and helps in our office wherever needed.
