OUR PROCESS

01 Meeting

Getting a first impression of your project.

Our Landscape Design Manager Nigel will meet you either on your property or at the NV Pools office to go over your building plans with you. With more than 20 years landscaping experience he can advise you on how to perfectly integrate your pool into your outdoor area.

During the first meeting the below topics will be covered:

  • Pool size.

  • Pool shell.

  • Suitable pool location.

  • Pool access.

  • Pool integration into other outdoor areas.

  • Potential engineering requirements.

You also have the opportunity to discuss how you would like to engage NV Pools e.g.:

  • Pool dig out and install only.

  • Full landscape project, incl. design, construction and maintenance.

  • Cooperation with your nominated landscape contractor.

02 Indicative pricing

Are we on the same path?

After our first meeting Nigel will liaise with Shannon NV Pools’ Manager and assess your pool requirements and overall site needs. From here we will formulate an indicative price to complete your pool project. This price will give you a ball park figure to review and decide whether you want to proceed further with your pool dream.

The indicative price will include key items such as pool and installation costs, minimum council and engineer fees, concept plan created by our NV Design team (this is needed for the consent application).

03 Detailed pricing

Ready to go?

If NV Pool’s indicative pricing is within your budget, we will complete the design process and give you an estimate along with a comprehensive brochure that shows exactly what you’re paying for. The price also covers the standard council pool consent fees and the engineering required for inspections for the council pool install sign off.

Note: Any resource consents or engineering required due to the ground conditions, pool location in regard to certified building areas, and retaining required etc. is not covered in our pricing. We will be able to give you approximate pricing however these extra consultancy fees will be charged on a time and materials basis.

As part of our commitment to transparent communication, should any unforeseeable on-site costs crop up, which they can do, we’ll discuss them with you at the time so you’re informed every step of the way.

NV Pools can also include pricing at this point for NVL to complete supplementary landscape work e.g. day beds, fencing, planting around your pool, a full landscape package, etc.

04 Confirmation

Let the games begin!

Once you accept NV Pool’s estimate and pay a deposit, the fun part starts. You get to chose your pool colour and we start to work with our pool supplier The PoolHouse to source your pool.

While this is all happening, our Business Manager Claire will also start to work on processing your pool consent and organise NV Design to design your tailored concept plan.

Any landscape requirements will also be managed by the same managers. No double handling here!

05 Pool install process

We keep you informed all the way.

Once we get the council paperwork ticked off Claire will be in touch to let you know your install date! NV Pools’ Manager Shannon will project manage your pool install. It is important to us to keep you in the loop about all the phases involved in the pool installation process.

Below are the key milestones of a pool install:

  1. Mark out of the pool.

  2. Dig out (Engineer to inspect).

  3. Screen bottom of the pool before the pool shell goes in.

  4. Crane pool into place.

  5. Plumbing around pool and install lights.

  6. Backfill the pool with concrete mix and filling pool with water at the same time.

  7. Plumbing to pool pumps etc.

Depending on what level we are taking your pool to we will also complete power around your pool, concrete, decking and fencing.

06 Handover

We’re still here to help.

Once your pool is installed we will provide a detailed handover with you and explain how to perfectly maintain your pool. You will receive a brochure including technical details of your pumps and maintenance tips. And of course we are only an email or phone call away if you have a query or need assistance with your new pool.
